It has been said that all wild animals of
North America are edible and perhaps that is a true statement. However,
it is surely true that some species are much more palatable than
others. In this booklet, an effort has been made to gather some of the
more common recipes for fish and game of Alaska and to present them in
such a way that anyone who likes to cook or likes to eat can enjoy game
as the sourdoughs do.

Exotic and elaborate recipes
are not included in this book. Rather, only those which are easily
prepared with the ingredients that most cooks habitually keep on their
shelves are presented in the following pages. |
For adventures in good eating
use your imagination freely in preparing the dishes described,
particularly in the seasonings and combintions of various game or fish.
Actually the recipes here are only guides and you can make an infinite
variety of wonderful meals by using them as such.
